Do Australians believe a funeral is better than a party?

Death is not something we in our society like to think about. We push it to the side and try not to think about the reality that one day we will die. The writer of Ecclesiastes tells us that going to a funeral is better than a party, because a funeral confronts us with the reality of death in a way that a party never will. It makes us face this reality of death.

Why is this important? If as many think, death is the end, than not thinking about it makes a lot of sense. However, God's word tells us that death is not the end, but there will be a day of resurrection when God will hold every person accountable for their lives and how they lived them. He has given proof of this by raising Jesus Christ from the dead. It's vitally important that you think about death now before it's too late.

Come and join us as we chat together with a panel of representatives from the community on this important topic.
