Jesus said that he came to give abundant life (John 10:10). He also loves us unconditionally, and invites us to love him in return.

This is shown in the Bible: "for God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son (Jesus), that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16).
