Is Jesus still relevant in 2012?

Perhaps the most common question people ask these days is "what's the point?" or "how is this relevant to me at the moment?"

We live in a world that constantly bombards us with information. We live tethered to our smart phones, we get up-to-the-nano-second news updates and people we barely know share intimate details of their lives with us 24/7. There is more advertising in our lives than at any point in human history.

The voices of our friends, acquaintences, our heroes, the media, small businesses, large businesses, bands, politicians and lobby groups are clamoring for our attention and if we don't screen out some of them we'll go crazy!

So what is the point? What could we possibly do with all this information? And how could adding the voice of Jesus into the mix help?

How could someone born 2000 years ago be relevant to my life in Darwin right now? What could a Jew living in ancient Palestine have to say about social media, university, work/life balance, my career and my happiness?
